Our beachfront tapas bar and restaurant has two positions available for a summer season. We are looking for team members with a passion for the industry looking for a diverse and fun season!

The restaurant has a coherent Mediterranean theme that permeates the food, drinks, music and decor. Our stunning location on the beachfront provides the sunshine and views to complete the ambiance. Our team members are enthusiastic, hard-working industry professionals who thrive on providing excellence in a strong team.

Chef

This is a unique and demanding role, but also suited to someone starting out in the industry and looking to broaden their experience. The kitchen is not a regimented commercial space, nor the food a precision exercise, but a creation of amazing flavours and colourful dishes bursting with the vibrancy of the Mediterranean. A passion for flavour, good food and the joy of sharing a dining experience is what’s important.

The successful candidate will work daily (Mon-Sat) alongside the head chef. We are a small kitchen team who work closely together. The principle duties are as follows:

  • Responsible for preparing a number of dishes from the menu
  • Cooking to order during lunch and evening service
  • Maintaining food safety standards and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Ensuring efficient kitchen operations and timely service during busy hours
  • Organisation and self management

Bartender

In this varied role, our bartenders will make everything from coffees to cocktails. Excellence in everything we do is our goal and every drink will be made with passion and care. This small team will work closely with the management to stock and run the bar.Skills in the following areas will be an advantage:

  • Barista
  • Cocktails
  • Knowledge of wines and spirits
  • Creating smoothies and milkshakes
  • Stocking and maintaining a well run bar

Successful candidates will enjoy a summer on the beautiful Isles of Scilly, a sub-tropical archipelago 28 miles off the coast of Land’s End. We close one day a week to enable everyone to explore this special place. Team members also have a discount in the restaurant for their time off.
