Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Automated Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and ensuring that systems meet the desired standards of quality.

This role requires the candidate to be fluent in English with a strong understanding of software quality assurance processes, as well as proficiency in testing methodologies. You will work closely with developers, product managers and other stakeholders to identify issues and ensure that our software meets the highest standards before release.

Ideally you will have at least 18-24 months proven experience designing, developing and running automated test scripts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts.
  • Perform manual and automated testing on our software application.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve defects and ensure timely resolution.
  • Validate software functionality, performance, and security across a wide range of platforms.
  • Conduct regression testing, performance testing, and load testing to ensure product stability.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.
  • Work in an Agile environment and participate in sprint planning and reviews.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test results, and test reports.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends in test automation tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance with a focus on functional testing.
  • Experience with root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Selenium or equivalent experience
  • Java - programming (create, edit, update scripts)
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, with a focus on achieving high-quality results.

Working Hours

We work a 9.5 day fortnight. Every second Friday is a half day!

Week 1: Monday - Friday - 9:00am to 5:00pm
Week 2: Monday - Thursday - 9:00am to 5:00pm; Friday 9:00am to 1pm

This role does NOT involve hardware testing, software development or supporting Microsoft products.
