Sprint Engineering & Lubricants Ltd have over 36 successful years of supplying engineering and lubricants within industrial markets. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of customer service. In addition to this we offer stores and warehouse solutions and are seeking someone to join our site in Isle of Grain, Rochester.
ROLE DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone who is physically fit to manage all aspects of materials within an engineering stores facility. You will be responsible for maintaining accuracy levels when accepting goods in and sending goods out. This role requires patience, flexibility, assertiveness, and self-motivation. You will work directly for Sprint but be based at our client’s premises. Previous contractual working would be advantageous to understand the client customer expectation.
This role will suit a process driven and robust person who is adaptable to various situations with an analytical approach, a strong working knowledge of stock management and inventory control is crucial.
Sprint manage the supply and replenishment of all consumables across two sites, a requirement of this role is to travel to (Enfield) when required to support the business and your colleagues. At times, this may be for prolonged visits to support the wider team.
You will be comfortable making daily decisions and able to collaborate with the client and demonstrate the decision-making process. At times there is a requirement for overtime which will include weekends and the need to offer a greater level of flexibility.
You will possess a true passion for continuous improvements, there are further projects to be undertaken to improve existing processes and procedures. You will be supported by the Contract Manager to continue delivering the highest level of customer service and audited accuracy across all stock held.
Role Requirements
- Materials handling experience
- Knowledge of ERP systems including SAP
- Must hold a full clean driving licence.
- Hold a current forklift licence.
- Able to manage colleagues whilst being a true team player
Responsibilities
- Day to day goods in/out, picking and kitting stock requirements, reconciling all paperwork, delivery notes, purchase orders and invoices.
- Load/Unload vehicles of critical stock using FLT
- Attend and report requirements from daily and weekly planning meetings.
- Compile reports from SAP and other software systems.
- Liaising with procurement to ensure accuracy of stock requirement.
- Ensure accuracy checks are made with consideration of new Stock.
- Manage own workflow
- Investigate and resolution of stock discrepancies.
- Manage site repair log
- Prepare pallets of critical stock to be sent off site, safely and securely.
- Manage, participate and oversee the stock taking process to maintain accurate records of materials in all locations.
- Manage external stock taking audits.
- Understanding and adhering to current legislation, with health and safety in mind at all times.
- Arranging annual site inspections, maintaining database.
- Managing all calibration and inspection of tooling across site.
- Input waste packaging data and liaise with Environmental department.
- Communicating to the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and of a high standard.
- Understanding the process for laundry requirements for overalls, sending away for cleaning, alterations, monitoring and inputting into correct storage lockers.
- Maintaining computer records / annual and rolling stock checks.
- Managing daily functions of the store’s facility, adapting to enhanced tasks when colleagues are absent from the business.
- Communicating with Sprint head office to offer solutions to the client whilst encouraging and supporting further sales for your team.

Preferable but not essential
- Working knowledge SAP
- IOSH certification
- First aid trained
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft excel
