Sculthorpe Mill is one of the Norfolk countryside’s most beautiful pubs. After undergoing a modern yet stylish refurbishment the Mill has gone onto win multiply award in just over a year. A Bib Gourmand, after only six month, Sunday Times ‘Best Place to Stay in the East’ , Good Food Guide, Top 50 Gastropubs.
We are looking for talented Chef De Partie to join our team at the Mill. We are committed to providing first class on site training and mentoring. We offer a competitive salary based on your experience and a flexible rota.
The hourly rate includes a guaranteed contribution from tips.
Heading up the food operation is Elliot Ketley (Soho House Group, Square, Coast) who is developing seasonal British menus that firmly put the spotlight on impeccably sourced local produce, from land and sea.
The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section
- Preparing meat and fish
- Assisting with the management of health and safety
- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
- Managing and training any Commis Chefs
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standard
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £13.50 per hour
