Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service at various events, ensuring that guests have a memorable experience. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and guest services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Set up and dismantle catering equipment and displays, maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
• Provide excellent guest services by attending to guests’ needs during events, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the occasion.
• Collaborate with chefs and other team members to ensure smooth operation during events, including timely food service.
• Support bartending staff as needed, including serving beverages and maintaining cleanliness at the bar area.
• Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
• Participate in post-event clean-up, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and the venue is left in pristine condition.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team and provide excellent guest services.
• A background in culinary arts or food preparation would be advantageous but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others are key traits for success in this role.

Pay: £12.50 per hour
