C Wood Hospitality @The Swan Inn Barnby, is looking for a Chef to join our team in Barnby.

The Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking food to the chef’s specifications. They will also be responsible for maintaining sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen, as well as assisting the chef with daily tasks such as cleaning and cooking. The ideal candidate will be a team player who will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and who understands the importance of safety and quality. We pride ourselves on great food and service. We are also a very friendly team.

Duties:

• Prepare food for service (e.g. chop vegetables, cook meat, or prepare sauces).
• Clean kitchen equipment properly (e.g. kitchen appliances, dishwashers, or blenders)
• Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills:

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook (1-2 years)
• Excellent knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Culinary school diploma or degree

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,000.00 per year
