Swimming Instructor/Teacher - Level 2

This role is across many of our locations: Hindhead Cranleigh, Farnham, Odiham Bagshot, Guildford, Frimley, Alton and Ewshot.

Tadpole Swim School is a family run swim school based in Surrey & Hampshire with classes running throughout the year. We are looking for a fully qualified Swimming Teacher to become one of our fantastic instructors.

his highly rewarding role involves teaching both babies, toddlers and school aged children. We currently run lessons throughout the year in Hindhead Cranleigh, Farnham, Odiham Bagshot, Guildford, Frimley, Alton and Ewshot.

Our ideal candidate loves babies/toddlers and young children, loves the water and believes passionately in what we do. Plenty of enthusiasm, reliability and flexibility are also essential qualities.

We are looking for someone who can potentially work between 6- 15 hours per week, including work at weekends. We run lessons throughout the year breaking for Christmas and bank holiday’s except at our Frimley location which is term time only. We are a growing company with an opportunity to increase hours. This role will require in-depth training alongside our teachers, to learn out highly specialized lesson plans and techniques.

Qualification Required:

Successful applicants will be required to attend and pass the STA Award in Swimming Teaching if not already obtained alongside the STA Pool Safety Award, if they have not already done so and this will be funded by Tadpole Tots. Within 2 years of working for Tadpole you will need to obtain STA Certificate in swimming Teaching. Tadpole specific training will be provided.

Tadpole Swim School Training :

You will be expected to attend an interview as well as shadow in the water. If you are successful, you will be expected to undertake up to 10-20 hours training in the pool in order to learn Tadpoles techniques and lesson plans. For this you will be paid a training wage of £8.91ph.

All equipment is stored at our pools therefore teachers are not expected to take them away and wash them.

Hours will include: Daytime, After school and Weekend

Part-time hours: 6-18 per week

Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour
