Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. As a key member of our hospitality environment, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your role will involve not only serving drinks but also engaging with customers to enhance their experience and promote our offerings.

This role would be suitable for students who are wanting to work through the holidays. Hours will include some evenings and weekends as well as sickness and holiday cover.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations and upsell menu items, enhancing their overall experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Assist in food preparation as needed, supporting the kitchen team during busy periods.
• Manage time efficiently to ensure prompt service during peak hours while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments and managing tabs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a harmonious working environment that reflects our commitment to hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; a passion for hospitality is key.
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices are advantageous.
• Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A friendly disposition with strong interpersonal skills to engage positively with customers and team members alike.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and processing orders accurately.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic setting, contributing positively to the team’s success.
• Flexibility to work varied hours each week

Pay: £10.50-£12.44 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
