Food and Cookery Teacher (qualified or unqualified)

Location: Edgemoor Court, South Molton

Salary: £26,000 - £32,100 PA FTE (dependent upon qualifications and experience)

Hours: Part time, Monday to Friday, 8am- 4pm or 8.25am - 4.25pm 24 hours per week over 3-4 days

Start Date: September 2025 (Pending completion and clearance via Enhanced DBS check, as well as two satisfactory references)

Term time working with School Holidays off.

Scope of the role

To develop and lead innovative and creative food, nutrition and cooking schemes of work across KS1-4 which reflect seasonality and the farm to plate ethos instilled through the farm school programme.

Qualifications and Key Skills

Essential

  • Minimum level 3 qualification or above in a food or cookery related field.
  • A range of recent, relevant experience of practical food, cooking or catering experience.
  • A Good knowledge of food, health and hygiene.
  • Evidence of teaching or training experience.

Desirable

  • A teaching qualification at either L3, ECT or QTS status or significant teaching / training experience
  • A health and hygiene qualification
  • A full driving licence (manual car)
