Job Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and thought-provoking Religious Studies lessons for students aged 11-18 (KS3-KS5).
Teach a range of Religious Studies topics , fostering critical thinking and ethical discussions.
Encourage student debate, discussion, and independent research on religious, ethical, and philosophical issues.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the Religious Studies curriculum.
Support extracurricular activities such as philosophy clubs, interfaith discussions, and themed events.

Requirements:

Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Humanities, or a related field.
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Overseas Teaching Qualification (if applicable).
Experience teaching Religious Studies in a secondary school setting.
Strong communication skills with a passion for inspiring students in Religious Studies.
Ability to differentiate lessons to cater to students of varying abilities.
