Optical Assistant / Consultant
Location: Grantham Boots Opticians (Independently Owned by Q&K Optical Group)
Position: Full-Time (37.5 hours 9:30-5:30)

About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and bubbly Optical Assistant / Consultant to join our team. Your main focus will be delivering outstanding service to our patients, ensuring they leave our store with not just great vision, but a great experience too.
Key Responsibilities -

Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, answer their questions, and ensure they feel at ease throughout their visit.

Appointment Management: Answer the phone, book appointments, and manage diaries efficiently.

Pre-Testing: Carry out pre-tests to support the optometrist in providing thorough eye examinations.

Frame and Lens Selection: Help patients choose the perfect frames and lenses, linking your recommendations to the optometrist’s advice while ensuring great value for money.

Dispensing and Adjustments: Assist patients in collecting their glasses, ensuring a perfect fit and making necessary adjustments.

Shop Operations:bMaintain a clean, tidy, and compliant store that adheres to GDPR and NHS contract regulations.

Team Spirit: Be a positive, can-do team player who loves having fun while working hard to support your colleagues and patients.

We do require you do be open to working in our other stores when needed.
What We’re Looking For

Ideally, experience working in another opticians, but this is not essential–we’re happy to provide full training for the right person.
