Due to expansion we need to recruit a Trainee Retail Stocktake Manager based in or very close to Winchester.

The person we are looking for will ether be an experienced supervisor or manager with experience of using hand-held barcode scanning devices

We are offering a salary of £23,800 (review in April 2025) plus 37.5p per mile when using your own car plus expenses. Our people car share/travel together. All expenses are covered.

After training, the successful applicant will be responsible for running stocktakes for us throughout the Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth areas, heading also west and east along the M27/A27 and up the M3 and A3. You’ll be travelling throughout Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey and into Dorset and Wiltshire. Sometimes even further afield helping to look after our clients in Southern England along with our other Teams based in North Kent, Horsham, Portsmouth, Camberley and Taunton.

You will work and train as part of our longstanding Portsmouth team. Typical stocktake team sizes vary from 1 to 8 people depending on the size of the stocktake

There is good training and ongoing support is provided at all times. Initial training will be mainly on-site and will last around 2 - 3 months depending on aptitude and ability.

You need to be be very comfortable working with a laptop, using email, browsing, downloading files, saving them, and being generally well organised. This aspect of the role isn’t difficult providing you are proficient with computers - part of our selection process will include a computer literacy assessment.

The working day varies, working in a different place virtually every day, counting different types of stock for a variety of great clients. Most of our stocktakes are very early morning starts, mainly Monday to Friday.
