About us

At Arbor, we’re on a mission to transform the way schools work for the better.

We believe in a future of work in schools where being challenged doesn’t mean being burnt out and overworked. Where data guides progress without overwhelming staff. And where everyone working in a school is reminded why they got into education every day.

Our MIS and school management tools are already making a difference in over 7,000 schools and trusts. Giving time and power back to staff, turning data into clear, actionable insights, and supporting happier working days.

At the heart of our brand is a recognition that the challenges schools face today aren’t just about efficiency, outputs and productivity - but about creating happier working lives for the people who drive education everyday: the staff. We want to make schools more joyful places to work, as well as learn.

About the role

Arbor has over 130 integration partners who use the API and developer portal to build read and write-back integrations. Real work in schools will sit across many platforms, data sources, people and know-how. It’s a divergent picture. We are now developing Arbor’s API and developer offer to decrease the effort that it takes for people working in schools to bring all of these parts together and get their work done.

We are looking for a collaborative and user-centric Product Manager (APIs) to join our small (but growing) Ecosystem team and help us scale our Ecosystem platform. The remit and focus of the role is to own Arbor’s strategic partner integrations and work with the Directors for Ecosystem to develop Arbor’s API and developer portal products into a successful commercial offering. It’s a broad and exciting role, so we’re looking for someone up for a challenge - if you’re a clear communicator and enjoy working in a team, this is the role for you.

  • Own Arbor’s strategic API partner integrations throughout their full product lifecycle
  • Work with the Directors for Ecosystem to develop Arbor’s API and developer portal products into a successful commercial offering

  • Work with Arbor’s Software Partnerships Manager to agree commercials with strategic API partners
  • Support Arbor’s Software Partnership Manager in reviewing & approving inbound API partner integration requests
  • Act as a technical escalation point for Arbor’s API Support Team (2nd Line Support Team), who provide technical support for Arbor’s wider ecosystem of API partners
  • Collate, manage and prioritise Arbor customer feedback on strategic API partner integrations, ensuring feedback is shared with strategic API partners to continually enhance their integration with Arbor’s APIs
