Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food safety and meal preparation, demonstrating creativity and skill in the kitchen. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences through the preparation of high-quality dishes while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
• Assist in menu planning, including the selection of seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
• Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance the dining experience.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a coffee shop or similar culinary environment is essential.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation.
• A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new culinary skills is highly desirable.
• Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
