The Role
Reporting to the Grimsby Seafood Finance Lead, this role delivers professional and trusted support to the Grimsby Seafood Finance Lead, assisting them to further grow and develop the Plant’s financial control environment with timely reporting and analysis of operational reporting, including yield, cost, stock and labour reporting.
Salary Range: £55,000 - £65,000 per year

Key Accountabilities
- Support the Grimsby Seafood Finance Lead in weekly and monthly reporting requirements, including the preparation of and providing insight into the monthly Plant Continuous Improvement (CI) reports.
- Act as cover for the Grimsby Seafood Finance Lead during periods of annual leave.
- Reconciliation of actual gross margin in the P&L to gross margin in the Commercial Reporting Suite, investigating and explaining any differences.
- Prepare high quality right first time Application for Financial Expenditure (CAPE) proposals for Board approval.
- Support the Grimsby Seafood Finance Lead in ensuring accuracy in all operational reporting and analysis. Attend operational meetings for discussion of areas to improve, generate potential solutions and course of action. Reporting includes, but is not limited to:
- Yield and labour efficiency
- Impact of SKU Mix from a yield, labour and expense perspective
- Labour and operational expenses
- Inventory on hand balances and trending DIO
- AFE review and tracking against approved project plan -Cost savings initiatives
- development of new ideas and performance against each one
- Identify and lead analysis and reporting of Research & Development claims for the Plant
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in manufacturing / operational accounting
- CIMA / ACCA qualified
- Evident confidence in presentation, communication and negotiating with professional peer groups
- Strong attention to detail, evidenced through challenge and a right first-time approach
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Track record of delivery
- Ability to explain financial information in a clear way to a wide range of stakeholders
