Poulton Remedial Services are damp specialists based in Eastbourne and have been trading since 1965 and have over 50 years of experience in rectifying building defects. Our contracts range from small domestic works of a few hundred pounds to larger commercial contracts.
We supply and install waterproofing systems across the South East of England.
We have been approved installers for Helifix Systems including masonry reinforcement, crack stitching and cavity wall tie replacement since the mid 1990s and are now one of the most experienced installers in the country.
Poultons are also Newton Specialist Basement Contractors (NSBC) and install many structural waterproofing systems in both new build and refurbishment situations.
We are accredited by the Property Care Association and registered with CHAS and Safecontractor.

We are based in Eastbourne and we cover East and West Sussex into Kent.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone with a good knowledge and experience of building defects with at least 5 years experience.
CSRT or CSTDB Qualification preferred.
An extensive experience of diagnosing dampness or timber defects in buildings required.
Ability to drive essential, clean driving licence and own car required initially, to be reviewed on completion of three month trial basis.
You will need good communication skills, written and verbal.
A good knowledge of Property Care Association best practices
You will need to be a people person with the confidence to talk to customers in a polite and professional manner.
You will be required to conduct surveys using the company’s methodology.
Hours to be discussed
Salary to be discussed dependent on experience.
You will conduct thorough inspections of private homes, commercial properties and building sites to identify damp and timber issues and assess wall tie integrity. You will meet clients and other professionals to discuss and provide solutions for damp proofing, waterproofing and timber preservation works and property repairs. A friendly and personable approach is essential.
To complete standardized reports outlining findings and recommendations for remediation
Collaborate with clients to discuss survey results and proposed solutions.
Utilize specialized equipment to measure moisture levels.
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices for damp and timber surveying
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all assessments.
You will need to draw floor plans with relevant software which will be provided.
Discuss reports with clients where appropriate.
