Project Manager

Location: Leamington Spa

Area: Program Management Office (PMO)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Head of Vehicle Engineering, you will have accountability in planning, executing and controlling project delivery.
  • Will be skilled in both Risk and Task management of a cross-functional engineering team, within Quality, Cost and Time controls.
  • Be conversant in the use of Project Management tools, metrics and schedules.
  • Act as the key interface between EDAG and the customer(s) with professional communication skills to be able to present and interact.
  • Regular reviews and reporting of project performance (KPIs) at steering committees, project reviews, etc.
  • Direct and liaise with technical design/ engineering resource to achieve project goals.
  • Lead customer quotations, calculations, budget phasing and resource planning in fields of application.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reviews for the resolution of technical issues. (Ishikawa, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys).
  • Provide interface for all functions within the project team.
  • Demonstrate EDAG’s excellent reputation via working directly and seamlessly with customers.
  • Other tasks as assigned by your manager.

Requirements

  • Degree educated in relevant field. ECUK registration would be beneficial.
  • Six Sigma Black or Green belt qualified or similar qualifications.
  • Extensive Project Management experience in automotive industry is preferred.
  • Effective leadership, organisational and teamwork skills in a global team environment.
  • Ability to handle responsibility of delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic thinker, looking to push technological boundaries.
  • Broad technical knowledge - Strong vehicle engineering experience.
  • Effective in solving problems, driving unique value for clients through awareness of market trends.
  • Automotive Product Development Processes (v-model).
  • High level of analytical ability, where problems are unusual and difficult.
  • Proven people management and project leadership within a matrix organization.
  • Able to influence strategic and technical direction.
  • Able to manage and maintain the planning, financials and reporting out regularly.
  • MS-Project and MS-Office proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel to customer and supplier locations when required (National, International).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with German as a plus.
