What Will You Do?
You’ll be responsible for providing technical consultancy / in depth technical delivery on some of our largest and most complex projects. Either remotely or onsite, you’ll provide a high quality customer experience in relation to the design and deployment of a customer’s ICT solutions.
You’ll act as an escalation point for your area of specialism undertaking complex faults and escalations and liaise with technical pre-sales consultants, project management teams, 3rd Line Engineers and Service Desk Engineers on a regular basis in pursuit of successful delivery.
What You’ll Need…
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft 365 Services: Proficiency in Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.
- Administration and Management: Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including user and license management, security and compliance, and service health monitoring.
- Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues related to Microsoft 365, such as email delivery, authentication, and collaboration tools.
- Migration: Experience in migrating users and data to Microsoft 365, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of implementing and maintaining security best practices within the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Automation and Scripting: Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages like PowerShell to streamline operations and improve efficiency1.
- Networking: Understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, and firewalls.
- Monitoring and Performance Management: Ability to monitor and maintain the health and performance of the Microsoft 365 environment using tools like Azure Monitor.
Soft Skills:
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop detailed project plans, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, IT staff, and business stakeholders.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps, and to provide training and support to team members and end-users.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 updates, features, and best practices.
- You must have a full valid UK driving license.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols related to Microsoft 365 services.
- Familiarity with third-party tools and add-ons for Microsoft 365.
- Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
