We are looking for the right person to join our small friendly team based in Newton Abbot.

This is a part time position, but with potential for up to 30 hours per week, including weekends. We trade from mobile coffee sites in and around Newton Abbot.

About you - You must be an honest, friendly, cheerful and enthusiastic hardworking individual, with excellent customer service skills. Experience in Coffee making is essential, however further training will also be provided.

Responsibilities:

• You will be required to open and close during your shift. This will include lifting and operating a generator and potentially gas bottles and water containers etc.
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, tea, iced coolers.
• Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate espresso machines and other equipment to make drinks according to established recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and working area.
• Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register.
• Ensure food safety guidelines are followed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a barista is essential.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Ability to work well on your own, and also as part of a team to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and holidays. We also attend a number of events throughout the year, so some working away from the main site may also be required.
