Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and production, ensuring that all meals are prepared according to our standards of excellence while maintaining food safety protocols.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen stations.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and work areas.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed and provide support in team management.
Skills
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of supervising when required.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- A genuine passion for cooking and the hospitality industry, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
