Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist in the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and culinary techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• A relevant culinary qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.00-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week
