Overview
We are a small but growing all-British electronics development and production company in the Wilmslow area, producing a wide range of high quality connector, power conversion and controller products for use in emergency and military vehicles, in which we are a market leader.

We are a vibrant team working with 100% in-house developed products. This is an opportunity for a bright and resourceful engineer to join us in this sound and expanding company.

The work is interesting and varied, ranging between desk-based design and development and actual hands-on experience in our well equipped workshop.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic principles and the ability to apply engineering techniques to solve complex problems.

Duties

  • Design and develop electronic circuits and systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing designs.
  • Perform debugging of electronic systems, including surface mount technology components.
  • Create detailed documentation for designs, processes, and test results to maintain project clarity.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve product reliability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the development process.

Experience

  • Proven experience in electronics design, including proficiency with Revit, CAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
  • Experience in coding for Microchip range of microprocessors.
  • Experience in Digital and Analogue design.
  • Experience in C and programming in Visual Studio would be an advantage.
  • Experience of CAN bus would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools and methodologies for electronic systems.
  • Experience in root cause analysis to identify issues effectively.
  • A degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field is preferred, along with relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in PCB layout and schematic capture.
  • Experience in power conversion would be an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
