An exciting opportunity for a Workshop Service and Repair Engineer to join a leading, electronics repair company.
The Workshop Service and Repair Engineer will repair and to pre-commission to all types of equipment processed by the company.
Main duties:
- Repairs and fault finding of Electronic equipment
(PCB boards, Audio HiFi Equipment, Phone, Tablets)
- Technical support to the Customer and Internally to sales/field engineers
- Parts ordering and inventory management
- Calibration of repaired equipment
- Dealing with Customer enquiries
- Liaising with manufacturer for support
- Following quality procedures to ISO 13485
Key Tasks:
- To achieve agreed performance objectives and targets as set by management
- Provide technical support for customers, sales and service staff
- Assist Customer Service Co-ordinators with technical queries
- Complete all Service Centre documentation promptly and accurately
- Keep Service Centre clean and tidy at all times
- Carry out inspection of colleague’s repairs
- Assist with the upkeep of demonstration and exhibition equipment, carrying out maintenance and repairs when necessary
- Maintain a professional image for the company at all times
- Attend and actively participate in all departmental meetings and participate in both in-house and external training courses to improve product and technical knowledge
- Provide on-site technical support when required
- Carry out additional duties as and when required to ensure the smooth operation of the Service Centre at all time
Qualifications / Skills:
- HNC / ONC, BTEC, City & Guilds, NVQ in Electronics or equivalent
Salary Guide : circa £25,000 pa
Location: Telford, Hortonwood 30 with free on-site car parking
