Reporting to the Midlands RBC Manager

Are you an experienced Surveyor or Door Engineer looking for a new opportunity where you can make a real impact, provide excellent customer service and help grow our Midlands region? This could be the role for you.

This role supports both sales and service delivery within the region. Our Surveyor is a key member of our team and is expected to provide accurate surveys and quotes alongside excellent customer service and consult with customers to identify opportunities to increase sales. This role delivers field based support for enquiries, surveys, quotations, orders and to help resolve account disputes.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Able to demonstrate our core values of Reliability, Proactivity, Integrity and Innovation.
  • Previous experience as a surveyor/engineer in the industrial door industry and in conducting thorough on-site surveys for PPM’s, Repairs, and New/Replacement equipment
  • Must be accurate and detail focused to provide high quality quotes and surveys
  • Highly self-motivated, collaborative, and can build immediate relationships with customers
  • Self-disciplined, motivated, with strong organisational skills for successful remote working
  • High standards in customer service and operational delivery
  • Strong technical, and product knowledge, and a deep understanding of our industry standards
  • Able to drive revenue growth using sales acumen, problem-solving skills, and offering tailored solutions
  • Able to gather accurate labour, plant & materials costings to build quotations
  • Experienced in overseeing projects, cost management, and subcontract utilisation
  • Use of various systems to support sales and operational service delivery
  • Taking ownership of the customer satisfaction and do all you can to support customers needs
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve internal and external
  • A flexible approach and ability to assist in any tasks assigned by the business

The Role & Responsibilities of Technical Sales Surveyor

  • Serve as the customer facing role, building strong working relationships that benefit all
  • Act as the liaison between customers and the RBC in Erdington, Birmingham
  • Collaborate with customers, RBC team and Key Accounts team to provide a unified approach to customer service.
  • Manage customer enquiries, request for quotes, additional works from engineers
  • Ensure quick and efficient handling, and providing timely responses to customers.
  • Build quote costings and content for sales team to submit, process, and update CRM
  • Update internal systems with status updates, as required.
  • Liaise with planners to carry out Site Safety Audits, and Post Installation Checks
  • Handle ad hoc requests, working closely with Sales and Operations to provide effective solutions.
  • Utilise systems to ensure smooth communication and efficient workflow.
