Senior Product Owner - Life Insurance Reconciliation

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner with theory reconciliation expertise in life insurance to steer our product vision, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient data reconciliation. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams–actuarial, finance, tech–and play a pivotal role in building out our high-impact solutions. If you’re currently a Business Analyst , Developer , or in a similar role but have strong knowledge of insurance reconciliation, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy
  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap for life insurance reconciliation , aligning with business goals and regulatory frameworks (e.g., IFRS 17, Solvency II).
  • Work closely with global stakeholders across three continents, showcasing thought leadership in reconciliation best practices.
  • Collaboration & Delivery
  • Lead multi-disciplinary squads (actuaries, finance experts, developers) through agile processes to deliver features on time and to spec.
  • Prioritize user stories and product backlogs, focusing on high-impact improvements for policy administration and reconciliation workflows.
  • Solution Design & Implementation
  • Oversee the design of solutions that automate theory vs. actual reconciliation for life insurance policy data.
  • Provide hands-on support where needed–be it functional specifications, data analysis, or sprint planning.
  • Stakeholder & Client Engagement
  • Act as the main point of contact for senior internal and external stakeholders, ensuring product features meet evolving market needs.
  • Conduct workshops, demos, and knowledge-sharing sessions to showcase product capabilities and gather feedback.
  • Leadership & Mentoring
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Scale the team as the product grows, defining best practices for on-boarding new hires.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Life Insurance Knowledge : Proven understanding of life insurance products, actuarial valuations, or financial data reconciliation.
  • Reconciliation Expertise : Hands-on experience reconciling theoretical models with actual policy data; IFRS 17 or Solvency II exposure is highly advantageous.
  • Product Ownership/BA/Dev Background : Solid track record in delivering software or data solutions–whether as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Developer.
  • Global Collaboration : Comfortable working with diverse teams and stakeholders across multiple continents.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent ability to convey complex ideas, negotiate priorities, and influence outcomes in high-stakes environments.
  • Technical Aptitude : Basic familiarity with databases, data transformation, or scripting is a bonus.
