Role: BI Analyst

Salary: £35,000k - £46,000k + Yearly Bonus

Location: York (Onsite - Must be based within 1 hour max of York)

We have an exciting opportunity for a target driven BI Analyst to join our successful, supportive team at our international head office in York.

This is an exciting position that will enhance and develop your skills, knowledge and career. This role will report into the BI Lead who will provide support, training and be your mentor to develop into this fantastic career opportunity.

The BI Analyst will work collaboratively with other team members and key stakeholders across the business to deliver BI solutions for Portakabin, in order to provide business value and high-quality reporting.

The BI Analyst will also play a vital role and be a key driver in the delivery of the BI strategy and adoption to aid the business in achieving its strategic objectives.

This roles requires an experienced BI Analyst with proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative whilst managing multiple priorities. A highly skilled analytical thinker and problem solver that works at pace and delivers to set targets. You will work effectively with colleagues and senior management from across the business.

Role Responsibilities:

Data Analyst

• Ingest, process, and analyse large amounts of data at speed, to translate the raw information from source systems into insightful analysis for the business.
• Show expertise in data analysis strategies to add value by transforming manual business processes into automated BI reporting.

Data Architect

• Design and oversee the management and governance of data, including standards, policies, and dictionaries to ensure data lineage, integrity and security.
• Manage deployment of BI reports so that the information is easily accessible for users and aligned to the business reporting structure.

Business Information

• Develop a good understanding of the key metrics used across all BI reports including financial, commercial and operational.
• Leverage this knowledge to build relationships with key business stakeholders to identify and deliver BI requirements.

BI Adoption

• Deliver clear and professional training sessions to colleagues across the business about how to effectively use BI and the information presented within it.
• Engage with key stakeholders as part of the roll-out process for new reports and dashboards to embed understanding and adoption.

Essential Criteria as our next BI Analyst:

• Degree level qualification, BI qualification
• Working experience Microsoft Power BI
• Excellent communication and stakeholder Management skills
• Ability to develop technical visualisation designs
• The ability to understand complex data architectures and work under pressure
• Competent in data modelling concepts
• Highly skilled analytical thinker and problem solver
• Ability to review and interpret Business Requirements, understanding dependencies within business processes and identify key data
• Adaptable, creative and resilient with a positive attitude
• Working in multi-workstream and cross-function projects
• Innovation, Predictive Analytics / AI (any Python experience desirable )
