About this role:
We plan to strengthen our team with the new role of Marketing Manager/ Executive to manage and be responsible for the planning and implementation of the communication strategy, social media activity, PR and executing content marketing across CHX’s platforms and to the industry.
Marketing Manager duties and responsibilities
- Communicating with management about existing and new marketing activities based on new ranges / products and seasonality.
- Briefing our designer on assets needed to support key CHX activities and promotions.
- Organising promotional events such as trade shows and ensuring delivery of customer materials, stand design and product samples to maximise impact.
- Coordinating with the sales team on marketing assets they require for their customers including promotional flyers, email footers and range brochures.
- Managing and creating appropriate content for a variety of channels with a focus on social media, the website and Mailchimp newsletters.
- Evaluating and improving marketing campaigns with possible solutions to fit within budgets and improve orders.
- Creating a portfolio of marketing tools that can be downloaded on the website marketing hub.
- Providing the industry with timely product news on a weekly basis for their newsletters
- Highlighting CHX’s achievements to the industry, community involvement, employee news, business achievements, environmental and production credentials for Industry News Updates.
- Ensuring the website is updated with product information, enticing home page carousel images about news and current offers.
- Website content to be updated to provide visitors with relevant product information, proof templates, product specifications, branding areas and ‘ideal for xxx’ inspiration.
- Entering CHX in industry wide awards, identifying categories applicable, filling in forms and attaching appropriate examples to support
Responsibilities:
- Desire to learn about the promotional merchandise sector, environmentally friendly expectations and how CHX products are designed and manufactured.
- Develop and implement weekly content to increase brand and product awareness to distributors online.
- Product copy to be written and images used from our library or created to support content.
- Write press releases to highlight CHX news or product launches.
- Develop brand messaging and marketing material as and when required.
- Create in Mailchimp monthly external newsletters to support product news and launches, promotional offers and business information.
- Collating and creating quarterly reports for management containing a review of previous quarter and feedback and then outlining activities with all key industry leaders (SC / SM / BPTS/ Aim) for the coming quarter.
- Identify opportunities within the industry to advertise CHX products.
- Writing telephone scripts to support key ranges or promotions “Welcome to CHX” and On Hold message.
- Brief product or range brochures to support activities with our designer - branded, unbranded and digital.
- Maintain Marketing Hub content and files and update as required based on seasonality and range focus.
- Liaise with industry account managers to send out timely Dynamic Mailers using our content to their database and other booked marketing and advertising packages.
- Work with external agencies (e.g. Idenna) to finish up existing project and work with them on potential new ideas.
- Work with photographer on maintaining image library and special projects.
- Make strategic plans with direct manager on how to get the most of working with each of the industry leaders over the next 12 months.
- Identify sponsorship opportunities within the industry and the local community (CSR)
- Check external newsletters to identify any competitor product activity and act if required to reduce impact on orders.
- Plan promotions - Summer Giveaway/ Winter offer / discounts on order value etc. to drive sales at key times and as a “thank you” for continued support.
Experience:
- Ideally educated to degree level in marketing or digital marketing.
- Must have a flare for everything digital, including social media, websites, creating short videos and making product information presentations to support the sales team.
- Experience of working with external businesses to maximise relationships and support.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Team player.
- Ability to think both strategically and commercially with a good understanding of overall business dynamics.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, Outlook, Mailchimp software.
- Experience with using Wordpress for day-to-day website management.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance
Pay: £29,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
