MOT Tester

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MOT Tester to join our team. (Must have own tools) The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in performing MOT tests on a variety of vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As an MOT Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of vehicles on the road.

Duties

• Conduct thorough MOT tests on vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as necessary for testing.
• Interpret and work from schematics to diagnose issues accurately.
• Maintain testing equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks as required.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively during testing procedures.
• Provide clear communication with customers regarding test results and necessary repairs.
• Assist in heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Experience

• Proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar mechanical role is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle issues.
• Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during vehicle inspections and repairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £31,566.00-£32,902.00 per year
