The trailer department is responsible for delivering premium marketing collateral, across global markets for high-profile entertainment clients. Working on pre-release content under strict theatrical marketing security embargos, delivering high volume via secure, centralised, day-and-date delivery model.

An extremely visible, client facing role, overseeing projects, team, workflow and technology, with ultimate responsibility for campaign success. Ownership of complete trailer output for the agency, managing client services teams delivering full-scale localisation, mastering and delivery of Hollywood clients multi-platform trailer campaign launches.

  • Complete overview of complex a/v production and localisation projects. Delivering upwards of 300+ multi-platform assets, across 60+ markets per campaign.
  • Overall responsibility for international campaign production and fulfilment, ensuring output aligns with client expectations, resolving any/all issues that arise during production cycles.
  • Scope project requirements and ensure resources, technology and personnel are in place to deliver. Managing multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting deadlines and little scope to compromise on delivery.
  • Engaging with clients across all levels, junior to exec, regarding projects, pre, during and post delivery. Interpreting brief and cascading to internal teams.
  • Build out process and frameworks to initiate, execute and deliver full localisation/production across digital, social, theatrical, and broadcast platforms, based on title/project specificities.
  • Driving operational initiatives, capacity planning, evolving infrastructure and workflow to meet project demands and communicate to teams
  • Oversee department rota, and shift patterns
  • Working to tight production windows, with high volume and fast turnaround parameters, oversee delivery of full suite of fully localised assets (trailer, cutdowns, social resizes, DCPs)
  • Project forecasting, internal and client reporting. Delivering order and project statuses, and ‘real-time’ reporting post launch to executive level clients.
  • Chair and lead internal team meetings
  • Utilising industry knowledge and background to support pitching our trailer services to potential new clients.
  • Assess performance of teams, constantly evolving team processes, ensuring workflows are adhered to.
  • Ensure correct operating procedures are utilised and manage third party suppliers to support/maintain bespoke theatrical screening equipment in line with DCI specifications.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry standard tech and processes
  • Initiate process and manage any third party vendor relationship, oversee workflow, track and report on spend.
  • Leading recruitment for direct team members.
  • Participating in internal operational, capacity and management meetings with the wider Localisation department at DMS to promote cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing trailer/short form marketing localisation projects for film/entertainment clients.
  • Experienced in working to global, secure, centralised day-and-date release model.
  • Solid understanding of international trailer campaign production and delivery, team management and digital media technology, processes and deliverables across online and theatrical platforms
  • Remain calm under pressure, able to troubleshoot quickly and make quick production decisions based on changing scope, content, timings and deliverables, to ensure projects remain on brief and timeline remains on track.
  • Ability to own and clearly communicate production strategy to teams
  • Comfortable and confident conversing with high-level clients regarding production specs and project parameters with the ability to guide, advise and instil confidence in your abilities and our trailer services.
  • Must have outstanding attention to detail on all A/V assets, including picture, audio, motion graphics.
  • Strong understanding of Theatrical Marketing security standards
  • An understanding of market specific a/v asset requirements
  • Technical knowledge, including but not limited to, frame rates, aspect ratios, codecs, colour spaces, file formats, project preps, collects.
  • A strong understanding of industry-standard post-production technology across edit, motion graphics, subtitling, digital cinema
  • Understanding typical production issues with a/v deliverables and ability to troubleshoot on these assets
  • Knowledge in the field of Digital Cinema, including DCP mastering to industry standards, encoders, KDM workflows, and DCI complaint screening tech with the ability to troubleshoot production in these areas.
  • Managing teams
  • Will require ad-hoc work outside of office hours, LA based client comms and troubleshooting, and servicing global requests.
