Deputy Head of Finance - SMF - Commercial Bank

City of London - 4 days a week in office
- Lead the accounting and finance department with 5 direct reports.
- Regulatory Reporting (corep, cr2 - capital and liquidity).
- Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors while owning Annual Reporting and Month End (statutory and technical accounting UK GAAP and IFRS).
- Monitor financial performance and identify improvement areas - namely ownership of budgets, forecast, P&L.
- Implement company-wide cost reduction initiatives.

City of London - 4 days a week in officeA successful Deputy Head of Finance - SMF should have:
- A strong educational background in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Professional Accountant with ACA / CA / CPA / equivalent.
- Proven experience in managing a finance team in a comparable sme to mid sized bank. Might also have a Practice/Audit exposure before arriving at banking.
Strong Regulatory Reporting and Statutory Reporting (technical accounting, annual reporting and month end essential)
- - fp&a can be learnt so role may appeal to some looking to get into the latter.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models (advanced Excel), ideally Power Bi use.
- Excellent communication skills.
