Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa has a mix of quality self-catering accommodation which includes lodges, apartments, cocoons, lake pods, floating lodges, and lodges. Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa also provides a range of catering and leisure facilities on site which include a Spa with infinity pool and leisure activity lake.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Chef to join our team at Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa. As a Cook/Chef you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, delicious meals to our guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience. You will be responsible for food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the wider kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications and guest preferences.
- Ensure all food is prepared to high standards of quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Assist in stock management, including ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in daily operations.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including correct food handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
- Contribute ideas for menu improvements and special dishes.
- Assist with cleaning duties and ensure equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is an advantage).
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for food and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
