Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in a bustling restaurant setting. The role involves supporting the kitchen staff in food preparation and maintaining cleanliness within the kitchen area.

Responsibilities:

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as required.

• Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times.

• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.

• Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.

• Keep storage areas organised.

• Follow health and safety guidelines in handling food and cleaning procedures.

Skills:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

• Experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is advantageous.

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen setting.

• Knowledge of basic kitchen procedures and food preparation techniques.

• Strong hospitality skills with a willingness to help the team as needed.

• Willingness to learn and assist cooks in various tasks.

• Previous experience in a similar establishment is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time, start date asap

Hourly Rate: £11.50 - £12 (to be discussed)
