Role Summary
The role of the Product Owner will form an important part of the Information Systems Team who produce and maintain the IT systems that underpin Optima Health’s business. The Product Owner will be responsible for product planning and defining the product vision and requirements, working closely with the development team and business stakeholders to ensure alignment to the customer and business operational requirements, company goals and objectives.
The Product Owner will have excellent teamwork and communication skills and be able to influence others. Highly organised with an ability to learn quickly, the Product Owner will become an expert in the systems they lead, and the business domains those systems support.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Defining customer needs, writing customer stories and requirements, defining acceptance criteria
- Gathering, managing, and prioritising the product backlog
- Working with the Head of IS to refine the product vision and delivery roadmap.
- Developing appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams.
- Perform product demonstrations and run beta and pilot programs.
- Become the expert in the function of their products and provide insight to stakeholders on the product.
- Assist support teams as a product expert in investigating issues.

Who Are We Looking For?
- Experience of requirements gathering and/or business/systems analysis
- General IT, Internet, and software literacy
- Experience in a similar role (desirable)
- Experience of AGILE development methodology (desirable)
- Prior use of JIRA software (desirable)
- Appian platform experience (desirable)
