Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement automation solutions that maximise production efficiency and quality.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Assist in the integration of new technologies into existing production lines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing processes and reduce costs.
- Provide training and support to production staff on the operation of robotic and automated systems.
- Document system configurations, programming changes, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in robotics and automation technologies.
- Design, test, and implement electrical or mechanical systems for various innovative projects.
Qualifications:
- Experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the timber industry, is a plus.
