  • Overview
    We are seeking a mature minded and organised Sales and Administrative Assistant to join our team in supporting daily sales and office operations at our Realcare shop in Sheldon Birmingham… The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring Sales of Mobility products are made in store and by appointment, with assessments and administrative tasks being efficiently managed and ensuring office processes run smoothly.

Responsibilities: -

  • Carrying out assessments and demonstrations of Mobility equipment for callers to the store and arranging and/or carrying out assessments and sales at customers homes. Answering telephone enquirings. Closing sales on the premises. Taking and processing payments on card machines and making invoices by the use of Xero accounts package on computer. Organising delivery of products.

  • Managing incoming phone calls and emails and dealing with them appropriately.

  • Maintaining office Excel computer sheets, filing systems and databases

  • Coordinating appointments, meetings, and other arrangements for the assessment of Mobility equipment to customers.

  • Carrying out and assisting with the preparation of sales reporting, and other types of reports and correspondence.

  • Handling office and store inventory and placing orders when and where necessary.

  • Providing general administrative support to effect the efficient working of the store.

Skills
Required:

  • Retail Sales experience in a similar environment (any experience of Mobility assessments or Mobility equipment an advantage).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Maths proficient.
  • Strong organisational abilities with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.

Nice-to-have:

  • Extensive previous experience in a sales and administrative role in the same or related field.
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles.
