Mechanical Design Engineer, Kilrea

Exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a local engineering firm at a time of growth, this role will be perfect for an Engineer seeking to play a real role in product development, design and though to manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components using SolidWorks and CAD software, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate system designs and ensure project alignment.
• Utilize GD&T principles to create precise schematics and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to facilitate project progress and updates.
• Implement and test designs using MATLAB and LabView to validate performance.

What we are looking for …

• 4 + years design experience, to include experience within the crushing and screening sectors
• Experience in bringing new products to market
• Confident in the use of 3D packages, i.e. Solid Works
• Good communication skills
