Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the development and execution of innovative projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a proven track record in product development, ensuring that our engineering processes align with company goals and industry standards. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to drive successful project outcomes.

Duties

  • Oversee the engineering team, providing guidance and support in project execution and development.
  • Lead product development initiatives from concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Utilise AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design software to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in existing products or processes and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical knowledge into product designs.
  • Ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards throughout the design process.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
  • Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules effectively while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an engineering management role with a focus on product development.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Python, C, C++, and other relevant programming languages or tools.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to apply engineering principles effectively.
  • Familiarity with GD&T practices is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration across departments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £56,037.00-£60,501.00 per year
