Bromcom UK, a leader in cloud-based school management solutions, is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Power BI Developer to join our team. In this role, you will help develop and maintain cutting-edge reporting tools that empower schools, academies, and Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) with actionable insights.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to create bespoke Power BI dashboards and ensure data is transformed into meaningful reports for our clients in the education sector. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Bromcom teams and stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain high-quality dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Support schools and MATs by delivering reporting solutions that align with their operational and strategic needs.
  • Build and optimise data models to ensure reliable, accurate, and actionable insights.
  • Maintain Bromcom’s reporting standards by ensuring data quality, consistency, and coherence across all solutions.
  • Develop advanced analytics using DAX and Power Query to meet the complex reporting needs of education providers.
  • Optimise existing Power BI solutions to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend data visualisation best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Data Team to ensure alignment with Bromcom’s overall data strategy and roadmap.

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
  • Familiarity with creating visually impactful and user-friendly dashboards tailored to stakeholders in the education sector.
  • Competence in data modelling, ETL processes, and Power Query (M-code).
  • Solid grasp of DAX for advanced measures, calculations, and analytics.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Power BI dashboards.
  • Understanding of relational databases and schemas.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to cloud-based solutions like Azure and various data sources.
  • Familiarity with OData frameworks and their application in Power BI.
