Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: UK Flexible (Hybrid/Flexible)

Salary £29,572 - £32,385 (plus Inner London Weighting ( £3,344) if applicable) per annum

Hours: 35 per week

Contract: Fixed term (12 months)

What does a day in the life of a Business Intelligence Analyst involve? You’ll be:

  • Developing BI solutions using tools like SQL Server, and Power BI.
  • Gathering requirements and structuring analytical approaches to solve business problems.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to effectively communicate key business insights.
  • Extracting, transforming, and loading data from several sources into Power BI.
  • Ensuring data protection compliance and responding to ad-hoc data requests.
  • Writing test cases and automation scripts to enhance data quality and efficiency.

What do you need to be a successful Business Intelligence Analyst?

  • Educated to degree level in a numerate subject or equivalent.
  • Understanding of dashboard design tools (preferably Power BI but Qlik, Tableau etc. are relevant).
  • Experience in Agile Project Management techniques and their application.
  • Understanding of data modelling techniques and the data lifecycle.
  • Good understanding of data quality concepts.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and create technical requirements.
  • Capability to advise on implications of new systems/system changes on reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to a broad range of audiences.
