Job Summary
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to become a part of our culinary team at The Bull Hotel, Fairford. The successful candidate will be instrumental in meal preparation and will help maintain the efficient operation of our kitchen. You will be involved in the cooking and preparation of high-quality dishes and will manage your own section, all while complying with food safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to the hotel’s menu and recipes.
  • Ensure all food is prepared with attention to detail, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, ensuring all work areas are tidy and hygienic.
  • Follow food safety guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food items.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages.
  • High level of attention to detail and good level of accuracy
  • Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.

Experience

  • Knowledge, experience and the ability to run a section without supervision
  • Ability and experience in mentoring and managing junior chefs
  • Ability to produce high quality food in all sections
  • Enthusiasm to develop your own skills/knowledge and those of others around you
  • Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary skills is advantageous.
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Pay: £28,000.00 per year
