Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de partie to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards in our bustling kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed, maintaining a clean and hygienic workspace.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
- Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods.
- Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure presentation standards are met.
