ROLES & RESPONSBILITIES

• Ensure that the required preparation is undertaken and completed prior to each service.
• Take in and carefully check deliveries for accuracy.
• Prepare, cook, and present high quality dishes, cooked consistently and enthusiastically to specification.
• Operate, clean and store kitchen equipment correctly, reporting any defects and maintenance issues promptly to Head Chef/Front of House Manager.
• Communicate with the front of house team any changes/availability issues in a timely fashion.
• Prepare, cook, and serve at special functions.
• To assist in the development of new products in conjunction with the Head Chef.
• Follow cost/wastage controls to ensure cost efficient operation of the kitchen
• This role requires bank holiday and weekend working

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• NVQ level 2 in professional cookery or equivalent
• 12 months previous experience at this level
• Friendly, calm, and efficient
• Excellent communication skills
• A passion for cooking to a high consistent standard
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Self-motivated
• Organized
