An exciting opportunity awaits a dynamic and experienced Business Advisory Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join a forward-thinking, global business services group based in Scotland. This permanent role offers the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering a combination of tax compliance and advisory work.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing annual tax return compliance for companies, individuals, and partnerships, providing corporate tax and remuneration planning, and advising on succession planning and capital gains tax (CGT). You’ll also collaborate across teams to deliver well-rounded tax advice and oversee the annual compliance function for a large client base. Managing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and guiding junior team members are key aspects of the role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Providing corporate tax planning and tax-efficient remuneration strategies.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to offer comprehensive tax advice, including VAT and international tax.
  • Overseeing and delegating work to junior team members.
  • Engaging in business development, including preparing proposals and onboarding new clients.
  • Contributing to technical articles and presentations within your expertise.

Required skills and experience:

  • Relevant professional tax qualification (e.g. CA, ATT, CTA).
  • Proven experience in both compliance and advisory work.
  • Strong client management and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Alphatax and CCH software.
