Mid Corporate (MC) Direct is growing! From April 2025 we’ll be responsible for the relationship management of over 50% of clients in the Mid Corporate segment of Commercial Banking Coverage, Business & Commercial Banking.
We’ve got an amazing opportunity to join us as a Junior Associate Relationship Manager (JARM), supporting two Relationship Managers in running two portfolios in either the Public Sector & Charities or Trading team.

No two days are the same! This role covers a variety of responsibilities and priorities regularly shift throughout the day – from creating and leading the deposit growth strategy for the portfolios, submitting credit applications and supporting clients with complex queries, to delivering Fraud Awareness sessions to clients.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day:

  • Proactively manage your workload, diary and inbox, prioritising as needed
  • Oversee the Deposit Growth strategy on the portfolio, to include making proactive calls to clients, proactively handling maturities, and leading deposit review conversations.
  • Effectively handle risk across both portfolios every day – making informed recommendations to your Relationship Managers and Credit where appropriate
  • Ownership of complex queries such as interest & charges, alongside other general portfolio admin.
  • Supporting RM’s with completion of credit work, i.e. annual renewals
  • Proactive communication internally within the team and with other partners
  • Proactively send out call invites & thought leadership material to clients (e.g. Fraud/Economic)

What you’ll need

  • Previous experience in a client facing environment (either in person or remotely)
  • Strong organisational / time management skills, in a role that is subject to multiple conflicting priorities – often changing throughout the day.
  • Experience in forming and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Experience in taking ownership of and handling complex queries, including good problem solving skills and tenacity in reaching a solution
  • An awareness of, and experience in identifying and managing risk.
  • A proactive approach to your workload and own development, including a willingness to accept and adopt new ways of working for the benefit of clients and the Bank.
