European Expansion
At Monzo, our mission is to make money work for everyone, everywhere. As we expand into European markets, weâre looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead our launch across multiple new countries over 2025 and beyond. This is a high-impact role that demands both technical expertise and exceptional leadership to drive our end-to-end market expansion program.
Reporting to our VP of Engineering and working closely with our EU leadership team, you will collaborate with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure Monzoâs successful European rollout.
You should apply if:
- You have 5+ years of experience managing complex technology programs or products from inception to launch.
- You are able to communicate clearly and persuasively to a wide range of audiences, including executive leadership.
- You are comfortable in a global business with a presence in multiple markets and want to be a part of scaling this further
- You can work effectively with a diverse range of people and working styles to get stuff done, and are able to thoughtfully and constructively challenge and influence the people you work with.
- You understand how functionality comes together (across products and platforms) to deliver value for users, and identify/mitigate delivery risks proactively; can propose and drive a technical solution.
- You are comfortable personally diving deep into the data to make good decisions in complex situations where thereâs often no âright answerâ.
The interview process:
- Recruiter Call (30 mins) Youâll meet our Engineering Leadership Recruiter to discuss your experience and learn more about Monzo. Theyâll be your partner and guide throughout the interview process.
- Initial Call (45 mins) Youâll meet with one of our engineering leaders. Theyâll ask you about your previous experience, in particular program execution and technical leadership. Theyâll also make time to tell you about Monzo and answer your questions.
- Loop Stage (4 hours) The Loop stage consists of 4 x 60 min interviews that take place over 1-2 days (depending on your availability).
- 4. Final Conversation - Given the importance of the role, itâs likely weâll also ask you to meet our CTO, or EU CEO before making a final decision. Thisâll be an opportunity for you to also meet our most senior leaders at Monzo.
