Senior Mechanical Engineer - North Yorkshire

We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a world-leading provider of subsea and deep-water intervention solutions. Based in North Yorkshire this role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, designing and developing ROVs, trenchers, and submarine rescue systems that operate in some of the most extreme environments on the planet.

Your Role:

  • Take the technical lead on mechanical design projects from concept to production.
  • Develop innovative engineering solutions for complex subsea applications.
  • Produce detailed designs, calculations, and documentation to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical support to production, sales, and customer service teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise.

What You’ll Bring:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
At least 3 years’ experience in mechanical engineering design.
Strong knowledge of structural analysis, materials science, and power transmission.
Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS).
Understanding of manufacturing processes , including machining, welding, and NDT requirements.
Ability to solve problems, manage projects, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
