This is an exciting role for an experienced Health & Social manager/officer who has an understanding about the importance of undertaking regular and meaningful assessments of quality standards in a care setting.
This is an opportunity to provide valued support and assistance the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance to ensure exceptional care is provided and that this can be evidenced and shared with stakeholders and regulators.
You must be able to demonstrate a willingness to support the company in achieving actions or outcomes that have been identified in Quality Improvement Reviews and to ensure the key tasks identified in this job description are undertaken in line with the Organisation Quality Assurance Systems.

Knowledge:
-
Ideally a qualified nurse (RGN)

Experience of working in a social care setting in a quality or management role

Experience of reviewing and auditing in a social care setting

Understanding of the Social Care Act 2012, CQC Regulations, The Care Act 2014 and Safeguarding.

To work in partnership with the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance
-
To provide a proactive approach to Quality Assurance activities to ensure the home is supported to meet and exceed the expectations in accordance with the Quality Assurance Policies for the home, current legislation and regulation.

To make an active contribution to ensuring audit review actions have been implemented, embedded and sustained.

To work in partnership with the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance to undertake a programme of continuous improvement, monitoring and evaluation of the Quality Assurance framework.

Identify areas of ‘good practice’ and support the home to evidence these.

To work closely with the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance and the Senior Management Team within the home to identify and further develop good practice to ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are exceeded.

To work closely with the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance ensuring the provision of training in the homes for all staff (relevant to their role) can be evidenced.

To work closely with the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance to ensure all homes receive the required monthly provider visits that will be carried out in rotation in line with Regulation 17 - Good Governance

To work closely with the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance in ensuring that an appropriate and comprehensive response is written and sent within the required timeframe.

To work closely with the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance in dealing with escalated complaints, concerns and grievances.

To work closely with the Head of Quality, Regulation & Estates Compliance in carrying out Quarterly audits of all homes

Maintain an audit trail of key records and information to demonstrate oversight of the home.

To undertake routine and regular reviews of all Statutory Maintenance folders, working in partnership with the managers and maintenance team to ensure all legislation and regulatory requirements are met.

Review of weekly clinical governance reports

Monthly Maintenance review visits to each home

To update and maintain an Estates management database, holding details of each home and their contractors, the dates the next inspection is due and hold copies of issued certificates

To liaise with contractors to ensure all tasks are completed to the expected standard, and that the certification or inspection reports are comprehensive and provide the compliance expected

To liaise with Home Managers regarding contractors or responsive maintenance that may impact on the day to day running or safety of the home

Any other tasks as may be required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
