Are you an experienced Health, Safety & Transport Training Manager with a CPC qualification and recognised training qualification? If so, this is an opportunity to use your experience in delivering training and creating training packages. You will have a transport operations background , be confident in H &S and Transport topics, as well as possess a category C Driver 's licence.

What will I be doing?
- Engage with regional stakeholders and trainers collectively to maximise training attendance and ensure regional stakeholders are aware of any training shortcomings, agreeing on a plan to ensure the highest possible levels of compliance and employee personal development.
- Lead on the renewal of the training accreditations to ensure SUEZ promote and meets the highest quality of training within the workplace.
- Regularly review policies and procedures which relate to health, safety and transport operations, which include a training element to ensure compliance with updated external legislation, standards and best practices.
- Control, monitor and engage with approved external training suppliers to ensure they deliver training to an expected high standard.
- Analyse training and performance data (including incidents) to identify improvements to existing learning approaches and packages and ensure effective organisation of training delivery against business needs with the teams.
- Lead with the creation and review of training presentations and other training material as part of our continuous improvement approach.
- Carry out any other duties as required by your line manager and inform the position holder of any shortcomings in procedures, plant or systems.
- Lead, coach, support and mentor the regional teams for the efficiency of delivered training.
- Monitor employee integrations into the business from new acquisitions or contracts and devise training plans with the regional teams.
- Participation (and, where appropriate, leading) in best practice groups, where you will have involvement with assisting the business to decide the best training principles and delivery type to meet compliance obligations against regulations and to improve working standards.
What are the requirements?
- 2 years’ experience in a position managing teams and experience in remote management.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a trainer and the ability to develop training packages with stakeholder inclusion and evaluate delivery.
- Sound knowledge of H&S and Transport topics or willing to expand their current knowledge set to meet business requirements.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and develop successful long-term relationships with key stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
- Self-management of activities and objectives and being able to prepare and plan training.
- Strong instructional techniques, training and coaching skills for large and small group training skills.
- Use of Microsoft Office packages: Office, Powerpoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams and Word.
- Pragmatic to problem-solving and takes into account other stakeholders’ input.
- Has a strong approach to practically organising all workloads to meet business needs.
- Has experience delivering classroom and remote/online training using presentations and Teams.
- 3 years of experience within the waste and recycling industry (or similar industry).
- Full UK Category C licence with up-to-date Driver CPC hours with DQC.
- The ability to travel throughout the UK to support areas where training will be delivered, which might incur overnight stays.
- NEBOSH / IOSH General Certificate or obtained within 6 months.
- NVQ Level 4 award (PTTLS) in education and training or working towards.
- First aid at work certificate and First Aid for Mental Health Level 3.
