Job Title: Endoscopy Consultant for insourcing.

Contract Type: Part-time, Weekends

Overview: Altnagelvin Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Endoscopy Consultant to join our team on a medical insourcing contract. This role is pivotal in addressing patient waiting lists and ensuring the delivery of high-quality endoscopy services in line with NHS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, including OGD (oesophagogastroduodenoscopy) and colonoscopy, adhering to Joint Advisory Group (JAG) standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care and optimize clinical outcomes.
• Contribute to reducing referral-to-treatment waiting times by managing a high-volume caseload efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and patient interactions.

Requirements:

• Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
• JAG accreditation in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
• Proven experience in managing endoscopy services within an NHS or equivalent healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
• Ability to work effectively during weekends and manage a high-volume caseload.
