- So, what will I be doing?
This is an exciting new role and will be key to supporting the Event Manager in hosting a varied calendar of events at Yeo Valley. The role will support with ensuring visitors to the valley are delivered an exceptional experience every time! This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and methodical individual who is looking for an interesting and varied seasonal role. We are looking for someone to join us on a 4 month fixed-term contract starting in June and finishing in September. This is a full-time position, based at our HQ in Blagdon, with travel to events as required
The role will involve:
Supporting the Events Manager in delivering: key employee engagement days E.g. Yeo Farming, Long Service celebration; consumer events e.g. Partner days, Farm to Fridge days (Farm tours), and Garden based events; and Charity and Community Engagement Events.
Producing planners for each event including supplier details, quotes, H&S reqs and budget.
Using Survey Monkey (or similar) to send feedback forms after the events and that feedback is monitored and actioned where necessary
Preparing monthly financial reports: Tracking income vs yeokens as well as Tracking spend vs budget
Supporting the Event Manager to manage the Charity budget: Colleagues in the Community.
Sounds interesting, what do I need?
The successful individual will be personable, professional and flexible in their approach. Working with a number of Departmental Managers they will support Yeo Valley events and therefore need excellent time management skills and an ability to multi-task and prioritise work. A strong attention to detail and desire to be proactive are essential skills to being successful in this post.
Skills and experience
Currently on an Events Management or Hospitality Management Degree Course (or equivalent)
Being able to communicate confidently at all levels, particularly ensuring our event guests feel at home during their visit
Experience in approaching suppliers to request quotes using a specific brief
Having an eye for detail
Previous Front or Back of House experience
